Background Information:

On Friday, April 24, 2009, I, along with Mr. Larry Parks, visited the Lindenwood School site. On that date I informed the Board, via email, of our findings. Although we have been unable to find the deed, the Board pays the insurance on the property and all indications are that the property is in the Board’s name. This property is a liability issue waiting to happen. It is not secure underneath the building and is a hazard. In addition, the building is, in places, exposed to the weather and several windows have been broken out, apparently by rocks. The value of the items we have stored in the school is minimal. If you have not had a chance, please try to visit this site before the Board meeting so that discussions can be held on

1. Selling the property;
2. Tearing down and burying the building and securing the property; or
3. Other appropriate measures
